Call to Artists

Linn County Arts Guild Gifts and Gallery is currently looking for Linn County artists who would like to display and sell their art. We have a great location at 605 Main Street in downtown Lebanon, Oregon. We have been here for the past 4 1/2 years, and prior to that operated an annual holiday store.

If you are an artist who has been curious about displaying and selling but hasn’t quite overcome that initial hurdle, come talk to us. This is a really great place to start. If you are an artist who has been involved in the art shows and you’re finding yourself with a lot of inventory and no place to take it, come talk to us. We have wall space and shelf space. If the idea of a gallery is intimidating, come talk to us. We’re just regular people with a drive toward creating quality art, and we love it when people love our stuff. The shyness wears off pretty quickly and hearing someone comment on your work is a great confidence builder.

How does it work? First of all, we would like to see what you do. We try to stay away from art that competes with something that’s already established at the gallery, but there is some room for overlap. Your work will be seen and discussed by a very kind and supportive jury committee. If you are accepted, you will need to decide on prices for your items that take into account the time involved in making them and the costs involved in being a part of a gallery. We will show you how to tag your items and create an inventory sheet. The next step is to a spot that’s ideal for your display, and, with our help, you will come and set up your area. You will be responsible for changing out your items and keeping your area tidy. In addition to your display area, sample items from each artist are displayed in the window facing Main Street.

If this sounds like something you would like to do, please call or come down to the gallery and talk to one of our artists.
